Area Attractions
The Palm Springs area is a relaxing and recreational oasis in Southern California’s Coachella Valley, surrounded by mountains and manicured golf courses. A favorite scenic destination of the Hollywood “In” crowd since the 1920s, the area has today evolved into eight distinctively charming desert resort cities – Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage – each defined by its own brand of character and charm. Year-round sunshine and world-class hotel and resort amenities throughout the Palm Springs area entertain more than 3 million visitors each year, including meeting and convention groups, families, newlyweds, seniors, and singles.
